Hats

You want a hat? We've got 'em! We make hats from our own home grown fibers such as wool, llama and alpaca. We also make hats from qiviut (the down of the Arctic Musk Ox) and commercially produced yarns. We primarily make felted and knit hats.

We used to list all of the hats we have in stock on this page, but found that people were generally more interested in having specific styles or sizes made for them, so now we only have a handful of pictures listed. The hats shown are our most popular. If you're interested in having a hat custom made, please e-mail us with the details. Our custom hats are generally no more expensive than those we sell at craft fairs--usually no more than $75 for fibers and colors we have in stock. If you are interested in a custom hat, please be sure to measure the circumference of your head (begin at one ear and measure all the way around). We'll be sure to make you a hat that fits your head!

This is an example of our sharp dome
(very circular throughout) hat with a
rolled brim. This hat is 100% wool. It was
hand-spun, hand-dyed, hand-knit,
and machine felted.

This swirled hat is a special design
by Leigh. The grey is 100% llama
(natural color), and the green is 100% wool,
hand-dyed. This hat is also hand-spun and
hand-knit, then machine felted. Like the
purple hat above, is a sharp dome-style
hat with a very short brim, but can be
made into any shape you desire!

This hat is an example of our gentle dome
style with rolled brim. It is 50% alpaca
and 50% wool, and has been knit
using two different blues to get a textured
effect. This hat is hand-spun, hand-dyed,
hand-knit, and machine felted.

This hat is an example of our oversized style.
The flexible brim can be rolled over the
ears, and down to the neck. This hat is
50% wool (the green) and 50% llama
(the black). The llama is natural color, and
the wool has been hand-dyed green. The
hat is also hand-spun, hand-knit and
machine felted.

We also have knit hats in different styles, including berets, ski caps, and anything else you can think of! For more information, e-mail us and we'll send you a picture of a hat with the style you're interested in.
